Terms of Service

The rules and guidelines that govern your use of HelpFaster.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HelpFaster platform, website at helpfaster.ai, APIs, and widget (collectively, the "Service"), operated by HelpFaster ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

1. Service Description

HelpFaster is an AI-powered customer support platform. The Service allows you to upload knowledge base content (documents, URLs, and text), which is processed into vector embeddings and used to power an AI support widget that can be embedded on your website.

The AI agent generates responses based on your knowledge base content using third-party large language models. Responses include source citations where possible. The Service also provides conversation analytics, team management, and integration features.

The Service is provided on a subscription basis with different plan tiers. Feature availability, usage limits, and pricing are described on our pricing page and may change with reasonable notice.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must notify us immediately at support@helpfaster.ai if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the Service.

3. User Obligations

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes on third-party rights
  • Upload sensitive personal data (such as health records, government IDs, or financial account numbers) into the knowledge base
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
  • Use the Service to send spam, phishing messages, or misleading automated responses
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Access the Service through automated means (bots, scrapers) except via our published APIs
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written consent
  • Exceed the usage limits of your subscription plan through circumvention or abuse

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these obligations without prior notice.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service ("Your Content"), including knowledge base documents, text, and any other materials.

By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. This includes converting documents into vector embeddings, sending relevant excerpts to LLM providers for response generation, and displaying content through the widget.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the rights to upload and use Your Content within the Service.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, documentation, and branding, is owned by HelpFaster and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand assets without prior written consent.

AI-generated responses produced by the Service are derived from Your Content and third-party language models. We do not claim ownership over the AI-generated output. However, the accuracy and suitability of AI-generated responses are not guaranteed, and you are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it.

6. Billing and Payments

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle handles all payment processing, invoicing, and tax collection.

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law.

We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes apply to the next billing cycle after the notice period.

7. Availability and Support

We strive to keep the Service available and performant, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control.

Support is provided via email at support@helpfaster.ai. Response times depend on your plan tier.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HelpFaster and its officers, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total cumulative liability for any claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

AI-generated responses are provided "as is" without warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. You acknowledge that AI responses may occasionally be incorrect or incomplete, and you are responsible for verifying critical information before acting on it.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through your account settings or by contacting us at support@helpfaster.ai.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms, if your use poses a security risk, or if we are required to do so by law. Where possible, we will provide notice before termination.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HelpFaster and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in England and Wales.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by placing a prominent notice on the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
